Objective

The Symposium will focus on providing an overview of new developments in the growing language resources markets, with special emphasis on products, tools, and solutions for improving global accessibility to multilingual terminological resources for different user communities around the world. These LR markets show the integration of language engineering (LE) methodologies and tools on the one hand and new approaches and tools based on the Internet and mobile computing for creating and accessing LRs on the other hand.


Preliminary Programme

The generic topics for industry presentations and advanced research reports include among others:
System and product-related presentations

· Project-related reports

· Application reports

· Standards-related issues

with respect to terminology management systems, ontology systems, mobile computing applications, term extraction, metadata registries, knowledge management with text mining, e-learning and new didactics, copyright management, accounting and billing, interchange, interoperability, validation, convergence, interfaces, intelligent filters, globalisation, internationalisation, localisation, personalisation, usability, quality, etc.

Exhibition

The Symposium will be accompanied by an exhibition of latest software developments and applications as well as LE products and services organized by NL-TERM. Exhibitors are requested to contact F.Steurs@kvh.be
